Biophysical and biochemical temperature change under future SSP scenarios

Vegetative cover is expected to change depending on future climate scenarios as it is affected by both climate change and human conservation efforts. These land use changes have biochemical temperature effect by changing the carbon sink through photosynthesis, but they also affect the temperature through biophysical effects including changes in surface albedo, bowen ratio and aerodynamic resistance. Understanding these impacts is essential to implementing climate mitigation measures for carbon neutrality including reforestation and vegetation management. This study will present biophysical temperature change associated with regional vegetation characteristic changes for various future scenarios using a methodology modified based on the intrinsic biophysical mechanism (IBM). Additionally, biophysical temperature change will be compared with the biochemical temperature change to highlight their relative contributions.
